Folks living in Oshawa-Durham and the communities east of Toronto (and those visiting)love festivals, be it spring, summer, fall or winter. Throughout the year, over 100 different festivals and annual events are put on by various local groups. There's no better way to enjoy yourself than to take in a festival.

Pickering Village Jazz and Art	end June	Come to Pickering Village for Live Jazz Bands, Beer Tent, Great Food, Street Vendors. Free Admission. 905-427-6491
Canada Day	July 1	Rotary Park, Noon to 4 pm. celebration cake, pony rides and petting zoo, inflatable rides, carnival games, magic show (at 2 p.m.), strolling buskers, food and beverages, train rides, community group displays and demonstrations, giant mural painting, and much more! Annual Skate Boarding Competition	mid September	McLean Community Centre host competitions 1 pm to 5 pm, Age categories: 6 to 10 years, 11 - 15 years and 16 - 19 years. Contact Tracy McMurray at 905-428-1355
